Promipyme launches Emprendelab 2026 in Santiago, Dominican Republic
The National Council for Promotion and Support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Promipyme) is holding the third edition of its entrepreneurship innovation laboratory, Emprendelab 2026, on Tuesday 28 July. The event will take place at the Hotel Santiago Curio Collection in the Ágora Mall Santiago Center.
The inaugural ceremony will be chaired by Promipyme director economist Fabricio Gómez Mazara and will feature provincial and regional authorities, business leaders, and presentations by entrepreneur Manuel Estrella and digital‑transformation specialist Chris Corcino. Emprendelab aims to identify and scale high‑potential projects in sectors such as software, agrotech, commerce 4.0, techno‑industry and creative industries, offering training, mentorship and a platform to attract private investors. Santiago was selected because its regional GDP growth outpaces other areas of the Dominican Republic.
