Peruvian ANC-MP suspends prosecutor Germán Juárez for six months

The Authority National of Control of the Public Ministry (ANC‑MP) in Peru ordered a preventive suspension of prosecutor Germán Juárez Atoche for six months. The measure is linked to disciplinary investigation number 413‑2026, which alleges that Juárez manipulated a collaboration‑effective file while serving as a senior prosecutor in the anti‑money‑laundering unit. The suspension also removes him from his role as provisional superior prosecutor for the Lima Centro district and from coordination of the national anti‑laundering offices. At the same time, the ANC‑MP opened a separate disciplinary proceeding against prosecutor Mayra Karina Melgar Gómez for a alleged minor infraction.
