Prostate health: Doctors identify harmful daily lifestyle habits

Medical experts are warning men that common daily habits, rather than sexual frequency, are primary contributors to prostate health issues. Doctors Chen Liang from Beijing Shijia Dan Hospital and Sun Youwen from Anhui Provincial Hospital highlight that many men overlook lifestyle adjustments while focusing on incorrect causes.

Two significant harmful habits identified include prolonged sitting and frequent urinary retention. Long periods of sitting, common among office workers and long-distance drivers, can compress the pelvic floor, disrupt blood circulation, and lead to chronic inflammation. Additionally, habitually holding in urine can cause the bladder to press against the prostate, increasing the risk of damage.
