Protesters block Periférico Norte in Mexico to demand justice for slain tow truck operator

Truck drivers and family members blocked Periférico Norte heading toward Mexico City to protest the murder of a tow truck operator. The demonstrators held an improvised wake on the highway near Naucalli Park, placing the victim's coffin across the lanes to demand accountability.

The operator died on October 30 after being shot four times by a motorist during a traffic incident on October 27 in the Lomas Verdes area. The assailant reportedly opened fire to prevent the worker from towing their vehicle.

Protesters accused the State of Mexico Attorney General's Office (FGJEM) of inaction, claiming authorities have photographic evidence, license plates, and technical documentation to identify the suspect, who reportedly abandoned the vehicle in Atizapán de Zaragoza. Demonstrators stated they would maintain the blockade until receiving formal commitments and progress from investigators.
