Protests against right-wing extremism held in German state capitals
Approximately 2,500 activists participated in a demonstration in Düsseldorf as part of a nationwide series of protests against right-wing extremism. Organized by the initiative PRÜF (Prüfung Rettet Übrigens Freiheit!), the march moved from Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz through the city center to the Ehrenhof.
The initiative demands that the Federal Constitutional Court review all political parties classified by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution as suspected or confirmed right-wing extremists. PRÜF conducts monthly demonstrations in state capitals across Germany to advocate for a resilient democracy and the protection of cultural freedom against political influence.
Simultaneous demonstrations were organized in 15 state capitals to voice opposition to extremism.
