Protests erupt across Iran involving healthcare, energy, and retiree sectors

At least 15 protest gatherings have been reported across various sectors in Iran. Healthcare workers at Hakim Hospital in Nishapur held a demonstration to demand unpaid wages, better equipment, more staff, and an end to mandatory overtime.

In the energy sector, employees of the Pars Oil and Gas Company staged protests in Kangan, Asaluyeh, and on seven offshore platforms. Their demands include reforms to the operational wage system, the removal of salary caps, and the prevention of merging the oil pension fund with other funds.

Additionally, retirees from the Isfahan Steel Pension Fund held protests for a fourth consecutive day. Telecommunications retirees also organized demonstrations in Mashhad, Tabriz, Hamedan, and Rasht, calling for salary adjustments and improved supplemental insurance.
