Proton introduces S70 Lite and Prime variants

Proton has expanded its S70 sedan lineup with the introduction of two new entry-level variants: the S70 Lite and the S70 Prime. These models are now open for booking, with an estimated starting price of below RM60,000.

Unlike the existing turbocharged S70 models that utilize a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Lite and Prime variants are powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated i-GT engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Despite being positioned as more affordable options, the new variants include several features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an electric parking brake with auto brake hold, remote engine start, and a reverse camera. The interior is expected to include leatherette seats and a soft-touch instrument panel.
