Proton posts 38% sales growth in July 2026, eMas line hits record
Proton, Malaysia's national automaker, reported total sales of 118,788 units for the first seven months of 2026, a 38.7% year‑on‑year increase. In July alone the company delivered 18,442 vehicles across its domestic, export, and eMas ranges, marking its second‑best monthly performance of the year.
The eMas electric‑vehicle line sold 3,888 units in July, taking its year‑to‑date total to 21,808. The eMas 5 remained the top‑selling EV with 13,196 units delivered to date, while the eMas 7 PHEV recorded 4,946 units, the country's most popular plug‑in hybrid. The eMas 7 electric SUV reached 3,666 units YTD. Proton also opened six new eMas outlets, expanding its network to 58 sales outlets and 45 service centres nationwide. Deputy CEO Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa said the results show continued confidence in Proton products, and Pro‑Net CEO Zhang Qiang highlighted growing consumer trust in the company's electrified mobility solutions.
