Przasnysz County Secures EU Funding for Bike Paths and Electric Buses

The Mazovian Unit for Implementing EU Programs has approved two separate grants for the Przasnysz area in Poland. A 15 million‑złote (≈ €3.4 million) investment will build and modernise pedestrian‑ and bicycle‑paths across several local roads, including new raised crossings and widened bike lanes, aiming to improve safety and encourage active mobility.

In a parallel project, the city of Przasnysz received a 4.44 million‑złote EU subsidy to purchase five fully electric buses costing a total of 6.42 million zł. The fleet will operate three routes with free rides for passengers, with service expected to start by mid‑next year. Both projects were ranked highly in the regional funding competition and are intended to enhance sustainable transport options for residents.
