PiS and Razem announce distinct strategies for 2027 elections
Polish political parties are formalizing their strategies ahead of the 2027 parliamentary elections. The Razem party has announced its intention to run independently, moving away from its previous cooperation with Nowa Lewica. Co-chair Aleksandra Owca stated that recent local election results in Krakow have strengthened the party's position, providing a foundation for a nationwide campaign. Co-chair Adrian Zandberg expressed optimism regarding securing at least two parliamentary mandates in the Małopolska region.
In contrast, Law and Justice (PiS) vice-president Przemysław Czarnek is advocating for the creation of a ‘great list of United Right.’ Czarnek emphasized the necessity of consolidating conservative forces and expressed openness to including politicians from Mateusz Morawiecki’s Rozwoju Plus association. He noted that PiS intends to prioritize candidates who demonstrate high activity in local regions and on social media, suggesting that formal discussions regarding these unified lists could begin in the spring of next year.
