PSD accuses USR of appointing allies to state company boards
The Social Democratic Party (PSD) has accused the USR party of maintaining a double standard regarding integrity and transparency. According to PSD, USR has appointed 32 individuals to 38 positions within the boards of directors of state-owned companies under the Ministry of Economy.
The combined monthly remuneration for these appointees is estimated at approximately 276,000 lei. PSD claims the list of appointees includes former parliamentarians, party members, and individuals with criminal records.
Specific individuals named by PSD include former USR parliamentarian Nicu Fălcoi, who reportedly earns 24,000 lei monthly from board positions, and Adriana Miron, who is alleged to earn nearly 20,000 lei monthly from roles at Pirochim Victoria and IOR SA. Other mentioned individuals include Ion Daniel Popescu and Aurora-Speranța Munteanu.
