PSIM Jogja appoints Risto Vidakovic as new head coach

PSIM Jogja has officially announced Serbian coach Risto Vidakovic as the new head coach for the 2026/2027 Super League season. Vidakovic, 57, succeeds Jean Paul Van Gastel.

He will be supported by assistant coach Edin Prljaca. Both coaches hold UEFA Pro licenses and have previously worked together at PSS Sleman and Kuala Lumpur City FC. Management noted that their existing chemistry is intended to accelerate the team's tactical adaptation.

PSIM Jogja manager Iksan Mahar stated that the decision was based on objective tactical analysis and Vidakovic's proven track record within the Indonesian football climate, citing his previous experience with Borneo FC and PSS Sleman as key factors.
