PSOE requests Family Meeting Point for Las Merindades

The PSOE has submitted a non-legislative proposal to the Junta of Castilla y León requesting the establishment of a Family Meeting Point in the Las Merindades region. Currently, the province of Burgos only has three such centers located in Burgos, Aranda de Duero, and Miranda de Ebro.

Procuradora Virginia Jiménez noted that the geographic dispersion and large scale of the region hinder access to essential public services, specifically child protection and support for families in conflict. The proposal aims to ensure minors can maintain relationships with relatives under safe conditions. Additionally, the initiative calls for increased specialized psychological care for victims of gender violence and reinforced resources for the protection of minors and families in the area.
