PSPV criticizes closure of family meeting points in Alicante

The PSPV political group has criticized the Valencian Consell following a resolution to close four Family Meeting Points in the province of Alicante. The decision, published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana, reduces the total number of these judicial service locations in the Valencian Community by ten.

The affected locations in Alicante include Torrevieja, San Vicente del Raspeig, Villena, and Vila Joiosa. These points provide free social services to facilitate contact between minors and their families during separation or protection processes.

Romina del Rey, the PSPV spokesperson for Childhood and Adolescence, described the cuts as ‘inhumane,’ arguing they weaken the protection network for minors and cause suffering to families. She indicated that she will request the full case file in the Cortes to examine the reports used to justify the resolution.
