Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of the People's Party (PP), has announced that his party will join the judicial investigation being conducted by the Audiencia Nacional regarding the migrant crisis in Ceuta. During the opening of the PP's political season in Cerdedo-Cotobade, Feijóo criticized the government's handling of the situation, describing ministerial responses as 'pathetic' and alleging contradictions regarding the intelligence information available prior to the mass entry of migrants on July 30 and 31.

Feijóo has formally requested that the Director of the National Intelligence Centre (CNI), Esperanza Castelerio, testify before the Senate to clarify what information was communicated to the government and when. He asserted that 'someone is lying' concerning the coordination between intelligence services and the executive branch. Additionally, Feijóo announced his intention to travel to Ceuta on September 2nd to participate in Ceuta Day, which he characterized as 'the day of all Spain.'
