PLN strengthens electricity supply for tourism, hospitals and national grid in Indonesia

PT PLN is expanding reliable electricity provision across Indonesia. In Ternate, the UP3 Ternate South unit surveyed the four‑star Hotel Bela and offered power‑optimization solutions of up to 690‑725 kVA to support the tourism sector. Nationwide, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and PLN affirmed that the power system is safe, denied any planned outages, and discussed financial measures such as compensation schemes to keep the grid stable, citing recent technical issues at the Cirebon power plant. In Papua, PLN added 555 kVA to the RSUD Kwaingga hospital in Keerom Regency, ensuring stable electricity for operating rooms, CT scans and other critical medical equipment. Officials highlighted electricity reliability as a key enabler of regional economic growth and public‑health services.
