Indonesia advances community‑based energy and power grid upgrades

Economist Dr Hayu Prabowo argued that Indonesia should empower communities to produce their own energy, citing biogas, micro‑hydro and simple solar solutions. Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) completed the Libo Substation Upgrade, raising capacity from 10.5 MVA to 24.5 MVA to support new oil‑field wells and maintain reliable production in Riau.
