PT PLN schedules power outages in Yogyakarta for network maintenance

PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi Yogyakarta announced scheduled electricity outages in the Special Region of Yogyakarta on June 9 and June 10 2026. The outages will affect areas in Bantul regency and the Sedayu sub‑district, with each interruption expected to last roughly three hours while crews perform maintenance on the distribution network. In Bantul, two outage windows are planned on June 9, from 10:00‑13:00 WIB and from 13:00‑16:00 WIB, covering numerous villages and neighborhoods. On June 10, a single 10:00‑13:00 WIB outage is slated for Sedayu and surrounding localities. PLN cautioned that timing may change due to field conditions and urged residents to keep a safe distance of at least three metres from power lines, avoid building near lines, and refrain from kite‑flying or tree‑cutting close to the infrastructure.
