PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan addresses leadership and political tensions

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has dismissed rumors regarding the removal of Mahmood Khan Achakzai. Speaking at Parliament House, Gohar stated that there have been no discussions to replace Achakzai with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman as the opposition leader in the National Assembly. He emphasized that the party follows the direction of founder Imran Khan, who has expressed full confidence in Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas.

Gohar also addressed recent political developments, including the imposition of Governor’s Rule and emergency measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He claimed that demands for meetings with Imran Khan contributed to the imposition of Governor’s Rule and called for the release of Bushra Bibi and the sisters of the PTI founder.

Additionally, the PTI chairman reported the arrests of several parliamentarians, including Adil Bazai, Chaudhry Imtiaz, and MNA Naseem Shah. He noted that the Peshawar High Court is scheduled to hear a case regarding the imposition of Governor’s Rule.
