PTI claims Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has ceased to exist

Salman Akram Raja, Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has claimed that the party’s elected government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has “practically ceased to exist.” Raja alleged that lawlessness has taken hold in the province, asserting that police and deputy commissioners are no longer following the instructions of the provincial government.

Raja further alleged that the sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan and various party workers have been detained to prevent participation in protests, and that young doctors were unlawfully arrested in KP. He stated that the party would continue to seek justice through the courts and vowed that supporters would exercise their democratic rights through street protests.

In a separate development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reportedly spoke with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman regarding the country’s political climate and the PTI’s planned long march. During the discussion, Fazlur Rehman emphasized the need for dialogue and mutual understanding to resolve political tensions.
