Public housing initiatives announced in Pisa and Prato
The City of Pisa has released a call for applications for the assignment of Public Residential Housing (ERP). Eligible citizens have until December 22, 2026, to submit applications to be included in a new ranking list. To assist with the online process, the municipality is providing free assistance through affiliated CAAF offices. Local officials noted that since 2018, over 60 million euros have been invested in public housing to support families in need and recover housing assets.
In Prato, 104 public housing units are being assigned between December and late January based on provincial rankings. This includes 68 ready-to-use units and 36 that are undergoing final restoration. The initiative is supported by municipal budget allocations, regional funds from Tuscany, and state funding. Local administration has earmarked approximately 2 million euros for social policies and the maintenance of public housing assets to address local housing needs.
