Social welfare and housing initiatives in Pisa
Overview
The Municipality of Pisa has launched several social welfare measures aimed at supporting vulnerable residents. In early October, the city opened applications for an elderly bonus and a medication subsidy, allocating a total of 355,000 euros. The elderly bonus, totaling 340,000 euros, provides up to 2,400 euros in electronic credit for residents aged 65 and older with severe disabilities or recognized invalidity and low ISEE levels. Additionally, a 15,000 euro medication bonus was established to provide 100-euro contributions for non-reimbursable medications to residents over 70 with limited financial means.
By late October, the city also released a call for applications regarding Public Residential Housing (ERP). Eligible citizens have until December 22, 2026, to apply for inclusion in a new ranking list. To facilitate the process, the municipality is offering free assistance through affiliated CAAF offices.
