Public services and infrastructure projects expand in Pernambuco and Penedo

The Government of Pernambuco, through the Secretariat of Justice, Human Rights, and Violence Prevention (SJDH), has conducted over 16,000 citizenship service sessions across the Recife Metropolitan Region in 2026. These initiatives, including the 'Mutirão da Cidadania', provide free public services such as ID issuance (RG and CPF), civil certificates, health testing, and vaccinations to various municipalities.

In Penedo, the local government is investing approximately R$ 2 million in paving projects for rural communities. The infrastructure work includes over 10,000 square meters of cobblestone paving, drainage, and curbs in the villages of Marituba de Cima, Ilha das Canas, and Ponta Mofina to improve mobility and access during rainy seasons.
