Infrastructure and paving projects in Brazil

Overview

Various Brazilian municipalities are implementing infrastructure and paving projects to improve urban mobility and road conditions.

In Bahia, the state and municipal governments have partnered to begin paving works in the Vila Caraípe neighborhood of Teixeira de Freitas, covering 23 streets and alleys. In Pernambuco, Olinda is advancing resurfacing works on Avenida Costa Azevedo as part of a R$ 7 million road recovery package involving 20 streets.

In Alagoas, the municipality of Penedo is expanding its infrastructure efforts. Mayor Ronaldo Lopes announced that asphalt paving in the Palmeira Alta community is scheduled to begin on September 30. This initiative is part of a nearly R$ 5 million investment package facilitated through an agreement with Codevasf, intended to mitigate issues with mud and dust.

Additionally, Penedo is investing approximately R$ 2 million in paving projects for rural communities. This work includes over 10,000 square meters of cobblestone paving, drainage, and curbs in the villages of Marituba de Cima, Ilha das Canas, and Ponta Mofina to improve mobility and access during rainy seasons.
