Public transport updates in Alba Iulia and Oradea

Public transportation services are undergoing significant changes in two Romanian cities. In Alba Iulia, bus services are set to resume on August 17, 2026, following a two-month hiatus. The resumption follows a signed convention between the Alba Iulia City Hall and STP Alba Iulia, which aims to resolve previous payment disputes. Mayor Gabriel Pleșa stated that the city will resume payments to the transport provider to resolve the impasse, with services returning to their previous schedules.

In Oradea, the local transport operator OTL has announced a reorganization of tram services through August 21, 2026, to facilitate intervention work on the tram line in the Lotus area. During this period, lines 6 and 7 will be suspended. Alternative routes have been established for lines 2, 4, 5, 8, and 9 to maintain connectivity across the city, including service to the industrial zone. The changes will follow a holiday schedule on working days.
