Public transport updates in Banská Bystrica and Prague

Public transport services are undergoing changes in Banská Bystrica and Prague.

In Banská Bystrica, new schedules for several bus lines will take effect on September 21, 2026. Changes include the extension of Line 23 to the Majer terminus, adjustments to Line 34 to increase capacity for train connections, and route modifications for Line 80. Several connections on Line 42 and other routes are also being canceled or rescheduled due to these updates.

In Prague, the bus line 137, which connects Na Knížecí, Malvazinky, Waltrovka, and Jinonice, will be discontinued on September 21, 2026. The route will be replaced by a fully electric trolleybus service on Line 52. This transition follows the acquisition of 13 Bozankaya SNG 12T battery trolleybuses by the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP). The shift aims to provide quieter, emission-free transport better suited for Prague’s hilly terrain. Diesel buses will remain available as operational backups.
