Puebla and Tegucigalpa launch emergency water distribution programs

In Puebla, Mexico, the state’s "Agua para el Bienestar" initiative supplied 4.6 million liters of water to 93 neighborhoods in seven municipalities, reaching roughly 5,820 families and aiming to assist 36,000 households. The effort was announced by Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier and Secretary of Welfare Laura Artemisa García Chávez, with backing from President Claudia Sheinbaum.

In Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Mayor Juan Diego Zelaya reported more than 900 cistern trips delivering 2.3 million gallons of water during the city’s water emergency. The municipality plans to expand to 80 water trucks and drill six new wells in the coming month, providing the service free of charge while cracking down on misuse.
