Mexico security forces conduct widespread operations against organized crime

Security forces across Mexico have conducted extensive operations targeting organized crime groups, resulting in numerous arrests and significant seizures. In Puebla, a coordinated effort by the Secretariat of the Navy, the Secretariat of Public Security, and the State Attorney General's Office led to the detention of three alleged CJNG members in the Unidad Antorchista neighborhood. The suspects, identified as Carlos N., Iván N. (alias “El Tartas”), and Francisco N., allegedly coordinated drug logistics and identified meeting locations. Authorities seized over 280 wrappers of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, and marijuana, along with a firearm and a vehicle.

In Sinaloa, the Navy conducted operations in Caminaguato and El Tepuche, seizing 15 long guns, over 1,600 cartridges, and five vehicles. These actions resulted in an estimated economic impact of 6.1 million pesos for criminal groups. In Sonora, the State Attorney General's Office reported record-breaking activity for October, executing 590 arrest warrants and 189 search warrants across 38 municipalities, including the seizure of narcotics and improvised explosive devices.

Other notable actions include the detention of Samuel Anaya de la Cruz, alias “El Panda,” a suspected CJNG leader in Veracruz, and the seizure of an arsenal in Huajicori, Nayarit, where six people were detained along with 10 long guns and over 4,500 cartridges.
