Volaris launches direct Puebla–Los Angeles flight

Volaris began operating a new nonstop route between Puebla’s Hermanos Serdán International Airport and Los Angeles, flying 78 passengers on its inaugural flight 1783. The service is part of the airline’s plan to add twelve new connections from Puebla and is promoted by state officials as a boost for tourism, family travel and trade with the large Puebla community in the United States.

State Secretary of Economic Development and Labor Víctor Gabriel Chedraui highlighted that the route aligns with ongoing upgrades at the Puebla airport, including a near‑billion‑peso modernization project that aims to raise annual capacity by up to 35 % by 2030 and add a logistics center, hotel, commercial plaza and multi‑level parking. The new flight joins existing international links to Houston and New York, expanding the airport’s role as a regional transport hub.
