Puebla implements international badminton training for teachers

The Secretariat of Sport and Youth in Puebla has conducted an international badminton certification for primary, secondary, and upper secondary school teachers. Led by Gaby Sánchez, the initiative aims to introduce new sporting disciplines to children and youth to increase the region's representation in the 2027 National Olympics.

Under the direction of Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier, the program focuses on talent detection and providing technical tools to educators. The training was led by José Francisco Alcántara Cortés from the Mexican Badminton Federation. Subsecretary of Sport Mauricio García Castillo stated that the knowledge gained will be replicated in schools to encourage wider participation in the sport.
