Puebla government invests in historical neighborhood restoration

The government of Puebla has launched a series of initiatives to restore the historical heritage and urban infrastructure of the capital's foundational neighborhoods. Through the Community Works Program, the Secretariat of Welfare has allocated 12.45 million pesos to 14 neighborhoods, including Analco, San Antonio, and San Miguelito. These funds will support the repair of sidewalks, modernization of public lighting, facade painting, and urgent roof repairs.

Additionally, an investment of 2.8 million pesos was used to rehabilitate nine historic buildings and over 2,600 square meters of facades on Calle 6 Norte. These specialized restoration works, conducted under the supervision of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), aim to improve the urban environment, enhance security, and promote tourism in the historic center. Future interventions are planned for streets 2, 4, and 6 Oriente, alongside the integral rehabilitation of the El Parián perimeter.
