Puebla modernizes Santa Margarita public lighting with 100% LED technology
The Government of the City of Puebla, led by Mayor Pepe Chedraui, has completed the full modernization of the public lighting system in the Santa Margarita neighborhood. Through the ‘Puebla Brilla’ program, the administration replaced 230 obsolete vapor or AMC luminaries with high-efficiency LED technology.
Following the intervention, all 299 lighting points in the area are now operating with LED infrastructure. In addition to the hardware replacement, technical crews performed corrective maintenance on circuits, wiring, and photocells to ensure continuous service. This initiative is part of a broader municipal strategy that has modernized a total of 39,517 luminaries across the city of Puebla to improve visibility and public safety.
