Puebla towns start paving in San Lorenzo Almecatla and San Simón

The municipal government of Cuautlancingo, Puebla, led by President Omar Muñoz, inaugurated a cobblestone paving project on the Tierra y Libertad street in the San Lorenzo Almecatla auxiliary council. The work covers more than 2,251 m² of paving, sidewalks, curbs and street lighting, financed with 3.73 million pesos from municipal resources and the state’s Por Amor a Puebla 2026 program. Muñoz said, "La mayor virtud que tiene cualquier presidente municipal es atender siempre a las y los ciudadanos y estar pendiente de sus necesidades," emphasizing the administration’s focus on community needs.

In the neighboring municipality of Quecholac, Mayor Guadalupe Martínez Gerardo launched a similar paving effort in San Simón de Bravo. The project installs 1,498.32 m² of high‑resistance cobblestones on Calle 5 Sur, improving safety and connectivity for residents, students and transport services. Martínez Gerardo pledged, "Seguiremos realizando trabajos de infraestructura en esta comunidad porque el progreso de Quecholac debe ser equitativo," and highlighted the benefits for mobility, access to services and local development.
