Caribbean tourism sectors launch new service and development initiatives

Various Caribbean tourism entities are implementing initiatives to strengthen hospitality and service standards. In the Dominican Republic, the “Descubre Sosúa” event brought together tourism representatives and community leaders to discuss the future of short-term rentals and promote local development. Additionally, the Dominican Association of Tourism Press (Adompretur) has reactivated its Miami branch to support the country's economic growth through tourism promotion. Casa de Campo Resort & Villas also announced the return of its Food & Wine Festival for its fourth edition in October 2026.

In Aruba, the Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) and the Aruba Excellence Foundation (AEF) signed a new agreement to fund and expand the Aruba Certification Program. This initiative aims to enhance the skills of hospitality professionals through updated educational content and modernized learning methods to improve the visitor experience.
