Puerto Varas to host Biotech Week 2026

The third edition of Biotech Week 2026 is scheduled to take place in Puerto Varas, Chile, from September 8 to 10. Organized by the Municipality of Puerto Varas and the Patagonia Biotech Hub, the event aims to connect the national biotechnology ecosystem by bringing together scientists, entrepreneurs, students, investors, and industry leaders.

The initiative focuses on linking talent formation, entrepreneurship, investment, and industrial application. It seeks to bridge the gap between scientific-technological capabilities and the needs of productive sectors, positioning the Los Lagos Region as a hub for biotechnological development in Chile.

The program includes diverse activities, such as a school bootcamp, teacher training, and job fairs designed to promote early talent development and vocational guidance. The event serves as a platform to democratize access to science and foster sustainable development through innovation.
