Puertollano Mayor concludes innovation-focused agenda in China

Miguel Ángel Ruiz, the Mayor of Puertollano, has concluded his participation in the II Spain-China Mayors Dialogue in China. The visit focused on institutional and business meetings aimed at fostering innovation, sustainability, and industrial transformation.

During the trip, the delegation visited several key technological and industrial sites, including the Tianning No. 1 Zero-Carbon Intelligent Industrial Park to study emission reduction and resource efficiency. The agenda also included visits to the Wanhua Group's Global R&D Center, the Yangzhou Industrial and Scientific-Technological Innovation Hall, the technology company FAMSUN, a humanoid robot incubator, and the Envision Group, a leader in advanced energy technologies.

Ruiz met with the Vice Minister responsible for the General Directorate for Western European Affairs to discuss collaboration between local administrations and strengthen relations between Spain and China. The Mayor noted that the knowledge acquired and the contacts established could open future opportunities for Puertollano in sectors such as energy transition, industrial digitalization, sustainable mobility, and smart city development.
