Puglia and Barletta roll out multi‑million‑euro regional development and social plans
The Apulia (Puglia) region will begin a series of meetings with mayors and administrators of 55 inland municipalities to decide how to allocate more than €75 million from the EU‑funded PR Puglia FESR‑FSE+ 2021‑2027 programme. The consultations start on 27 July in Bari and will cover project selection for rebuilding public buildings, enhancing cultural and landscape heritage, expanding tourism offers and strengthening local administrative capacity.
In the city of Barletta, officials are concluding a participatory process for the VI Social Zone Plan 2026‑2028. A plenary assembly on 30 July at the Polo della Legalità will gather citizens, public bodies, third‑sector organisations and volunteers to review the work done and set priorities for local welfare services over the next three years. Both initiatives aim to improve public‑sector effectiveness and deliver lasting benefits to their respective communities.
