Puglia regional investment programmes
Entities: Barletta · European Union · Regione Puglia
Overview
In early July 2026 the Apulian regional government launched the €360 million “Puglia Moltiplica” plan, a multifaceted financing package aimed at supporting firms from micro‑enterprises to companies with up to 499 employees. The scheme combines EU‑funded resources, reclaimed loan repayments and public‑private leverage, featuring a minibond fund, venture‑capital, guarantee facilities and micro‑loans designed to catalyse nearly €3 billion of new private investment and boost competitiveness, job creation and internationalisation.
Two weeks later the region announced a €13.5 million budget amendment to accelerate seismic safety upgrades for several public buildings, including a university sports complex, a sports hall, a school and a Carabinieri barracks, using part of the European Regional Development Fund.
On 27 July the region began consultations with mayors of 55 inland municipalities to allocate over €75 million from the EU‑funded PR Puglia FESR‑FSE+ 2021‑2027 programme. The funds will support rebuilding public buildings, enhancing cultural and landscape heritage, expanding tourism offers and strengthening local administrative capacity. In Barletta, officials are finalising the VI Social Zone Plan 2026‑2028, with a citizen assembly on 30 July to set priorities for welfare services. These steps illustrate a continued strategy of deploying EU and regional resources across economic development, infrastructure resilience, cultural revitalisation and social welfare to reinforce Puglia’s long‑term growth and resilience.
