Puglia appoints 13 new regional department heads and a secretary general

The Regional Council of Puglia approved the appointment of thirteen new Directors of Department, along with the Secretary General of the Presidency, the Secretary General of the Giunta, and the head of the autonomous structure responsible for program implementation. The selections were made from candidates who applied under the revised organisational model “MAIA 2.0”. Notable appointees include Antonella Bisceglia as Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Pompeo Colacicco as Director of the Department of Infrastructure and Mobility.

In a related appointment, Ettore Cinque, a former Campania regional assessor with extensive experience in budgeting and health administration, was named the new Secretary General of the Presidency of the Puglia region. Cinque is regarded for his technical expertise and has been praised across the political spectrum for his competence in public‑finance and health‑system matters. These changes mark a re‑organisation aimed at improving coordination, programming and implementation of public policies across the region.
