Puglia launches €4.5 million hiring incentive for disabled workers

The Puglia regional government has approved a €4.5 million funding scheme to encourage private employers to hire people with disabilities on permanent or fixed‑term contracts. The measure, announced by regional labour assessor Eugenio Di Sciascio, targets private firms operating within the region and is expected to generate roughly 450 new jobs.

Employers can receive incentives ranging from €9,000 to €15,000 per hire, with possible additional bonuses of up to €3,000. Applications open on 5 August and must be submitted by 31 December, following the official publication of the notice on the regional bulletin on 3 August. The programme is part of a broader regional effort to promote employment autonomy and inclusion for people with disabilities.
