Puglia launches Orientation Desk and reports 685 new job openings
The municipality of Andria in Puglia, Italy, opened an "Orientation Desk" on July 24, 2026 as part of the regional "Punti Cardinali for Work" programme financed by Regione Puglia. The desk offers free information, guidance, CV preparation and job‑search assistance to unemployed and inactive citizens of all ages.
Within a month the service recorded over 40 visits, helping people make decisions about training and employment and linking education, training and labour market opportunities.
At the same time, the regional employment agency ARPAL released its bi‑weekly "WorkUP" report for northern Puglia (provinces of Bari, Foggia and BAT), listing 685 vacancies. Construction, installations and real‑estate jobs account for 195 openings, with additional demand in artisan trades, commerce, services, tourism and cultural sectors. All offers comply with the new transparency and equal‑pay legislation (Legislative Decree No. 96 of 7 May 2026).
