Puglia regional government approves property, forest, health and economic measures

The Puglia regional council granted ADISU‑Puglia a free, 30‑year surface‑rights lease on the former regional offices building on Via Celso Ulpiani, to be used for university residences once the regional offices relocate to a new site by 2028‑2030.

It approved municipal forest indexes as part of an expanded Regional Forest Types Charter, and ratified the 2024 “Inclusive Health” project aimed at assessing needs and service access for sexually transmitted infections in vulnerable groups.

Funding was increased by €11.224 million for a program improving hydraulic efficiency of surface watercourses to reduce flood risk and restore riparian habitats. A budget variation of €6.146 million will support multi‑year dual‑track vocational training programmes leading to professional qualifications and diplomas.

The council also adopted a regional directive to involve third‑sector organisations in the National Health Equity Programme for mental health, and approved the integration of the regional dementia technical table with specialist centers in Bari and Foggia. Finally, it approved the annual programme and guidelines for the regional partnership cooperation law (Law 20/2003).
