Pumas 7s and Yaguaretés set for Odesur Games in Rosario

The Argentina Pumas 7s rugby team will compete in the Odesur (South American) Games in Rosario, featuring a squad primarily composed of players from the World Rugby Sevens Series. Head coach Santiago Gómez Cora stated the decision to send a full roster is intended to provide competitive rhythm and preparation ahead of the upcoming international season, which begins in Dubai on November 28 and 29.

Argentina enters the tournament seeking to defend their status following an undefeated championship in Asunción 2022. The men's team has already secured qualification for the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima.

The women's team, the Yaguaretés, will also participate in the tournament. Unlike the men, the Yaguaretés are competing to secure a qualifying spot for the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima, with a secondary opportunity to qualify through the South American championship in October.
