Pump.fun ranks third in weekly crypto revenue behind Tether and Circle

Solana-based memecoin launchpad Pump.fun has become the third highest-earning cryptocurrency protocol by weekly revenue, trailing only stablecoin issuers Tether and Circle. According to data from DefiLlama, the platform generated approximately $12 million in revenue over the last seven days.

Pump.fun’s revenue is driven by fees from bonding-curve trades, graduation fees when tokens migrate to decentralized exchanges, and trading commissions from its internal market, PumpSwap. The platform has earned over $1.2 billion in total revenue since its launch in early 2024.

To manage its native token, PUMP, the protocol utilizes a buyback-and-burn mechanism, allocating 50% of its revenue to purchase tokens on the open market and permanently remove them from circulation. This performance places the platform ahead of other major decentralized finance protocols, such as Hyperliquid.
