Pune Rural Police have arrested Ritesh Hange, the third suspect in the alleged murder of real estate businessman Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad Fort. Hange, a friend of prime accused Chetan Chaudhary, has been charged with conspiracy and remanded to police custody until September 12.

Investigators allege that Hange was involved in the planning of the murder. Forensic examination of mobile phone chats reportedly revealed discussions regarding how to push Agarwal from the fort and how to destroy evidence. Police stated that Hange was aware of an initial plan by Chaudhary and Agarwal’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, to physically assault the victim before killing him.

The incident, which occurred on June 18, was initially reported as an accidental fall. However, following suspicions raised by Agarwal’s family, a fresh investigation led to the arrests of Goyal and Chaudhary on June 23. Police believe the motive was to eliminate Agarwal, who was viewed as an obstacle to the relationship between Goyal and Chaudhary.
