Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Inducts Former Congress Leaders into AAP in Majitha

In the Majitha constituency of Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led a ceremony in which five senior former Congress figures – Parmjeet Singh Pamma, Palwinder Singh Pali, Jagdeep Singh Goga, Apramdeep Singh Appu and Amandeep Singh – officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The event was attended by senior AAP leader Talbir Singh Gill, who serves as the party’s in‑charge for Majitha.

AAP described the defections as a significant setback for the Congress party in the area and said the new members will strengthen its grassroots presence ahead of future political activities in the state. The leaders praised the AAP government's welfare policies and pledged to work for the party’s growth in Punjab.

The induction took place on a Saturday, marking a notable shift in local political dynamics as parties in Punjab vie to expand their organisational networks ahead of upcoming elections.
