Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann provides free electricity to 518 Gau Shalas

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann approved a scheme to waive electricity charges for all Gau Shalas in the state, raising the number of institutions receiving free power from 366 to 518. The move adds 152 additional Gau Shalas to the programme and is intended to strengthen facilities that manage stray cattle, reducing road hazards and improving animal welfare. The decision was announced at a meeting in Chandigarh attended by Chief Secretary K. A. P. Sinha and the secretaries of Power and Animal Husbandry, who pledged continued support and modernisation of the Gau Shala system.
