Punjab Government Reassigns Senior IAS Officers in Major Administrative Reshuffle
The Punjab Government ordered a major reshuffle of its Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre, with Chief Secretary K A P Sinha issuing the orders. Senior officer Manvesh Singh Sidhu (2004 batch) was given the additional charge of Managing Director of the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB), replacing Girish Dayalan. Dayalan (2011 batch) was transferred from his roles as Registrar of Cooperative Societies, MD of the Punjab State Cooperative Bank, PIDB and MARKFED to become Special Secretary, Jails. Sanyam Aggarwal (2012 batch) received the additional responsibilities of Registrar, Cooperative Societies and MD of the State Cooperative Bank. Vishesh Sarangal (2013 batch) was assigned the additional charge of MD of MARKFED. Sakshi Sawhney (2014 batch) was appointed Special Secretary, Health and Family Welfare while retaining her duties as NHM Mission Director and PUDA chief administrator. Preeti Yadav (2014 batch) was given the additional charge of Special Secretary, Expenditure. The Personnel Department directed all officers to assume their new assignments immediately and ordered internal arrangements to manage workloads arising from the vacancies.
