Punjab secures 65,000 crore rupees investment under CM Bhagwan Mann

At a Confederation of Indian Industry conference in Chandigarh, Punjab minister Aman Arora highlighted that the state has attracted roughly ₹65,000 crore in domestic and foreign investment over the past four and a half years. He credited the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwan Mann and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal for the “revolutionary steps” that have spurred industrial growth and job creation, and said the government expects investment to rise to ₹75,000 crore.

Arora noted that the event included discussions on a free‑trade agreement with participation from UK ministers, and he urged the centre and NITI Aayog to provide a special package to address Punjab’s logistical challenges – a 550 km international border, lack of a nearby port, and the need to transport raw materials over long distances. He also expressed condolences on the death of former Asian Games gold‑medallist Jaspal Rana.
