Peruvian National Police officers seized approximately 27,000 Golden Beach brand cigarettes during an anti-smuggling operation at the Cabanillas Customs Control Post in the Puno region.

During the intervention on the Juliaca–Arequipa route, authorities inspected a Volvo vehicle containing three occupants. Upon inspection, officers discovered 27 boxes of cigarettes. The individuals involved could not provide legal documentation for the merchandise.

The estimated value of the seized cigarettes is S/ 300,000, while the vehicle is valued at approximately S/ 250,000, bringing the total value of the seizure to roughly S/ 550,000. Three suspects have been detained and are under investigation for customs crimes.
